Expression of Interest for Plenary Technical Sessions. Contribute evidence, implementation lessons and practical innovations to the 9th NFPC technical programme.
The Technical Subcommittee of the 9th NFPC invites policymakers, implementers, researchers, advocates, development partners, civil society, private-sector actors and community representatives to contribute evidence, implementation lessons and practical innovations to the plenary technical programme.
- Indicate up to two anchor conversations backed by demonstrable experience or evidence
- Interactive formats are prioritised, case clinics, fishbowls, demonstrations and structured dialogue over panels
- High-quality abstracts may be considered for publication in the African Journal of Reproductive Health (AJRH)

The technical programme is intentionally not a sequence of standalone presentations. Every conversation moves through a shared architecture, from evidence to accountability.
Understand
Where are we now?
Examine the current family planning landscape, including evidence on financing, partnerships, commodity security, service delivery, policy, governance and equity.
Diagnose
What is working, what is not, and why?
Use implementation experience and evidence to identify persistent gaps, bottlenecks, enabling factors and the reasons behind observed results.
Learn & Adapt
What can Nigeria learn?
Draw on credible Nigerian, African and other relevant comparable experience to understand what has worked, under what conditions, and what may be adaptable to Nigeria.
Act & Account
What should happen next?
Translate evidence and learning into practical priorities, defined responsibilities, measurable next steps and mechanisms for tracking progress after the conference.

Partners may indicate up to two anchor conversations for which they have strong and demonstrable experience or evidence. Panel-only formats will not be prioritised.

Bring Evidence, Not Just Expertise
A strong EOI should demonstrate one specific experience that is relevant to the selected conversation. The Technical Subcommittee is more interested in what your organisation has actually implemented and learned than in a general description of its mandate.
- Relevant Nigerian or comparable African experience, with a clear explanation of relevance to Nigeria
- Credible evidence from programme data, research, evaluation, monitoring or policy implementation
- Concrete examples from states, LGAs, communities, facilities, markets or health systems rather than general organisational positions
- Clear evidence of what was implemented, rather than only what was proposed
- Willingness to engage with other perspectives, challenge assumptions constructively and respond to evidence
- Potential to generate a practical decision, action, commitment or accountability mechanism
